SUSTAINABLY MADE
We source cotton that’s Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)-certified—the gold standard when it comes to organic textiles—because organic-cotton production replenishes soil fertility, increases biodiversity, minimizes greenhouse gas emissions, and uses fewer toxic pesticides and fertilizers, easing the toll on humans and wildlife.
All of our cotton can be traced back to countries of origin, and we’re working on achieving farm-level traceability for our key suppliers. We never source cotton from areas with a high risk of child or forced labor.
Our commitment to having a high impact on people and a low impact on the planet is ongoing. We know that most of the impact on the planet happens as the clothing is being made, so we have our Goods Mandate in place, helping us make the best planet-conscious decisions when it comes to our materials. While we are committed to 70% of our materials coming from the Best/Better categories, we haven’t hit the mark yet. One of the biggest challenges for smaller brands is getting access to the right materials while meeting minimum order quantities. Ordering more than we need to meet these minimums just creates waste and that’s not a tradeoff we are willing to make. We aren’t perfect but we are headed in the right direction.
